Ms. Corey J. Lowell, SFO
Ms. Lowell was voted School Business Administrator of the year by the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials in 2025. She was President of the Monmouth County Association of School Business Officials from 2019-2021. She is currently a certified mentor for NJASBO, which is a required component for individuals to earn their School Business Administrator certificate from the State of NJ.
Ms. Lowell graduated from Rutgers University Cum Laude with a BS in Accounting and Monmouth University Cum Laude with an MBA . She was first employed in school business as the accountant/controller for the Freehold Regional High School District. In 2008, she went to the Asbury Park School District as the School Business Administrator then moved to the Keansburg School District in 2011, where she was involved with the construction of the new Joseph C. Caruso Elementary School. Ms. Lowell has been the School Business Administrator at West Long Branch Public School District since September of 2016.
Ms. Lowell has served on various county and state committees and has presented at the NJASBO annual conference. Her most recent presentation was The Strategic Partnership: How the SBA/Superintendent Relationship Transforms Budget Management in June 2026 with Dr. Christina Egan.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the school business administrator or chief financial officer of the district, Ms. Lowell is responsible to perform duties at the district level in the areas of financial budget planning and administration, financial accounting and reporting, insurance/risk administration, purchasing, payroll and health benefits, investment management, facilities planning, construction and maintenance, administration of transportation, and food services.
