ABOUT US...
PRISE (Parental Rights in Special Education)
New Jersey Administrative Code (N.J.A.C):6A:14 and the Federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA 2004) are laws that ensure children with disabilities a free, appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment. An important part of these laws provides parents with the right to participate in their children’s education.
Who should join?
All West Long Branch parents and guardians of a student with special needs or learning differences who are eligible for or receiving services under an IEP or 504 Plan, is enrolled in the West Long Branch public schools, or whose designated home school district is West Long Branch, but currently attends an Out-of-District placement.
